Not so pleasant experience in terms of valuation. I have been offered 2.5k for my car online which then have been reduced to 1.3 on the spot - my car was in very good condition, so the online price does not allow for any fair wear and tear. The guy also marked all 4 of my tyres scratched which was not the case as only one of them had a scuff on it. After the valuation minus repair cost, they add back an approx 50% of what they deducted so final offer was about 1.8 - I didn't want to leave the car under 2k so we didn't end up having a deal. Just another two things to mention is that the agent I was dealing with was constantly commenting on the brands of clothes I was wearing (some higher end) which made me very uncomfortable. Secondly, he was so confident that I will sell the car that he ripped the card receipts off my service receipts that I won't need them. After I left I had to re-staple these back, thankfully I put them away. Anyway, this was on a Friday - I sold the car for 3k next day.
Some of the 1 star ratings on here are ridiculous...OFCOURSE they are not going to offer you anywhere near private sale price, how would they make any money!!!!! They offer a quick sale, effortless and friendly process, and that is exactly what I got!!! Thankyou James!!!
Just sold our VW polo (2013) in Cambridge. You obviously get less than selling it privately, but I am happy to pay a few hundred for the convenience and the hassle free environment. James was very helpful. I recommend dealing with him.
Didn't seemed bothered to help just wanted my car and cutting the price down as much as they could. AWEFUL
The price you get online is for an immaculate vehicle. It will be lower when they factor in fair wear and tear. We wanted rid of an old car and we were happy to accept a convenient low price.If you come here with other expectations you will be disappointed.
