So much pepper in the soup that it burnt our throats and we couldn't taste the mushroom. 'haggis' was mostly lentils. Service was excellent.
Food is delicious, but portions were not so big. We ordered a large plate of starters for 20 GBP, and it was not so big portion for this price. Haggis fritters were very tasty.
I really couldn't find anything wrong with this place, down to the loos, where they pipe in Blackadder for your listening pleasure, really. Its brilliant. Excellent meat, proper rare steak. Ribeye was tender and tasty. G&T very smooth, good wines. Very courteous and friendly staff.
Beautiful food. Great Menu. We just chose from the 2 course menu and selection was great. Steaks done to perfection. Great choice of imaginative side dishes. And the dessert selection was too tempting to resist. Wonderful Service as well.
The food was great, we got the table we'd asked for, initially the service was fantastic, after the, I think, manager left the service disappeared. Although we were seated near the bar area, downstairs, I had to repeatedly leave my seat to ask to be served for the dessert, coffee, digestif and finally the bill. It was a real shame and was in sharp contrast to what had happened earlier.
