I had Redmayne around to value a property for rental purposes. Their valuation was way too high. It's difficult to comprehend how they got it so wrong. I made a very thorough check on Rightmove. They also failed to advise me of the new rules that came in October 2018 that affects properties of 3 plus beds which are let to sharers. I would recommend anyone to avoid the. They clearly are not informed or responsible
We let our property in Cambridge through RAH. The team at RAH were really good, and in particular Hannah Khan, who was simply brilliant. Hannah took our call at the start of this process when we were calling around Cambridge estate agents for information, and she won us over immediately. She was professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. We decided to let out the property through them and have had a really good experience in dealing with RAH in general. We had really good and responsive communication, our queries got sorted out very quickly and when things needed to be done to the property, it was done quickly and at a reasonable price.In the end, our tenants ended up being less than kind to our house, but Hannah was on hand to organize all the repairs, cleaning etc. We were looked after really well and we would highly recommend Hannah and her colleagues to anyone looking to let out their property.
I think a 1 star review is generous. Rented with them as agents for 2 years. Constantly being passed from agent to agent, calls being passed on but never dealt with, problems with maintenance being dealt with at snail pace (took about a month to get a replacement hob and months to get mattresses that were fit for purpose). Lack of communication between the various different sectors where one agent said I owed an extra days rent - but did not realise I had to vacate the property before the end of my contract because heavy duty works were needed before the room was habitable for the new tenant - because her colleague hadn't told her and I was in fact owed money. Embarrassing. Basically the staff here have too much on their plate and are failing miserably to deal with what they already have on. A classic example of a business expanding but with no control over its current client base; Unprofessional and disorganised. The previous tenant wrote to the CEO of the company to complain before me and he found there were many holes that were apologised for. But it's not getting any better and the poor reviews on here prove that. But I guess just as long as they get those really big commissions who cares about those irritating tenants?! The owners of this company should be ashamed.
They were extremely forthcoming and professional at the beginning of the tenancy. Even tiny marks were meticulously documented in a professional assessment (makes one wonder though why they were not just repaired...). However, dealing with them was a lot less pleasant by the end of the tenancy. They did not offer any flexibility regarding the moving date - not even half a day, they insisted on a massively overpriced cleaning service, and took a very long time to respond to queries regarding the deposit. Given the extortionate prices and lousy service, I'd recommend to avoid estate agents in Cambridge whereever possible.
Hard to rate as I've used RAH to sell my property as well as rent property from them. The sales team were great and did a good job. The rental team for the most part were great, but the communication from them during the tenancy has resulted in a dispute over the deposit. While I expect they are only acting on their clients instruction, it's left a bitter taste.
