Because they gave helpful and friendly advice

Went there with dad today. Payment was taken and then was made aware that one of the medications wasnt available till tomorrow. Was told to wait for a few minutes for the pharmacists to finish packing up the remaining medication on order. Waited for 20 mins, then asked as to how much longer have we got to wait. Was then told by one member of staff, that the medication that was going to be delivered tomorrow now turns out to be in stock. So then if we wait a bit more, we will leave with all the items on prescription. Approached by another member of staff only to be told that they are out of stock in the end. Dissapointed and wont be returning.

Finally got round to writing this review. My son has been at Addenbrookes for almost two months (at the time of writing), so as you as you can imagine many things are far more important than a review. However now that things have settled I wanted to share my experience of this pharmacy with you.My wife takes certain medication (due to complications from the horrible birth of our son), some of which are life saving, without it she would quickly become critical. She remained with our little one whilst I headed to the nearest pharmacy (which happened to be this one) to pick up her subscription. Luckily the hospital arranged this for her (as they look after her as well), so off I went to collect it, which is when I bumped into...Yours Truly..., Mr Jody Butler! Apparently superintendent of the store!I handed over the prescription and was asked if it was lifelong (as this is free under the NHS), to which I answered yes (I noticed I had forgotten to tick certain boxes on the form and), so I took back the prescription form and ticked the appropriate boxes (as I had done many times before). What then proceeded for the next 5 minutes I can only describe as bloody disgraceful. I was made out to be a crook, someone trying to cheat the system. It was clear this Waste of Space thought from the get-go I was fraudulently trying to claim a prescription for free. I tried to reassure him that it was ok, and that I knew what I was doing, but that didn't work. He then asked me if my wife's condition was on the list, before I could state that it was not, but that in fact my wife's condition included one of those mentioned on the form, he spoke over me, again making out that I didn't know what I was doing.Never in my life have I had such a disrespectful custom.I was left shaken and angry. Could my day get any worse! On reflection I will put it down to the way I was dressed. I have been living at the hospital since my son was admitted, and as such my choice of clothing was limited and perhaps the unshaven face added to the "Rough" look. But I assure you, my manner was polite and I simply came to collect a prescription, with a greeting and a thank you, but as I have explained, what I got was appalling. How this guy has his job I will not know. Sack the idiot before more damage is done! This is why I will stick with Boots, or one of the better know pharmacies. You can tell they have a code the are trained to adhere to, unlike this one!Do yourself a favour, there are a million and one pharmacies in this area, head to one where your custom is appreciated and you are treated with the respect you deserve. Keep clear of these judgemental "know it all" idiots.

Extremely good service. Pharmacist is sensible, intelligent and shows an almost unique level of understanding of her customers needs. Excellent.

Needed emergency medication on Easter Sunday. Were open 10a-2p! Pharmacist extremely polite and calm despite a queue of 10+ people.
