Many people rest on the grass or play sports in certain places. I went there on a hot and sunny summer holiday. It's really a nice experience.
Nice place for a picnic, a stroll, or a bike ride. It is big and central, so if you walk around Cambridge for a while you will likely end up here anyways.
A green open spsve in the heart of Cambridge. We walked across in December and the bare trees made beautiful twisted shapes against the grey sky.
What a wonderful place to bring my family. Easy beautiful walking through fields, trees, and alongside the active pretty canal. Open air lido pool, ice cream, benches, nearby family pubs and street parking. There's usually something happening but there's also plenty of room for throwing a frisbee, kicking a ball, cycling or sun tanning.
The pirate ship park is amazing!! Loads of clean space to run around, and a nice secure fence around the play area to stop the kids getting loose. A nice smaller separated area for the really small ones. All equipment is well maintained and clean. 3 different slides and 4 swings.The bigger park for the older kids is also great. Really big pirate ship that you can climb to the top and sit in the birds nest. A big basket type swing and crazy swinging roundabout.
