Came in on Saturday, and although very busy managed to get a table! Lovely tea, coffee, and cake, but was really quite disappointed by some unprofessional behaviour behind the counter. Felt quite uncomfortable as a young lady at the till was sarcastically and obviously told off by a (presumed) superior while she was trying to serve us. It was very rude, and made ordering quite awkward. Other than that, a good experience.
I propelled myself through the door by moving my limbs in a manner known as walking. This is standard practice, so why the strange looks? Oh, it must be the deranged grin. The enticing aroma had me giddy with premonitions of cakey transcendenceand I needed to take a shita situation for which I'd just invented a new facial expression.In thirty years of roberting joyously through the cosmos, I'd not till this moment laid eyes upon such an exquisite display of perfect muffinment, a sublime manifestation of artful spongecraft, a soaring apex of divine cakery, a shrill poke-in-the-bum of ouchy biscuitness, an under-sofa-cushion lost-lego-man of nostalgic chocolate chip surprises.But I was on a diet, so I just ordered a coffee, which was OK.
Sooooo good. I can highly recommend that place. The service is nice, the cake is awesome and the coffee is really good. I liked everything so much. They also sell reusable coffee mugs and make coffees to go. It is one of the best places for cakes that I have tried so far in GB
Cakes were amazing!! Staff helpful and friendly. Will defo visit again on our next day trip to Cambridge. Thank you Tom's Cafe!!
