The Norfolk Street Bakery is lovely new cafe and bakery opposite the entrance to the botanic gardens. It has a great selection of freshly prepared soups and sandwiches that draw queues out of the door at lunch time. I like to get a newly baked loaf for home at the same time.
Amazing little find on the walk into Cambridge centre from the train station. Brilliant value for coffee and treats. Everything in there is delicious! I will be walking more often now, just to visit again!
Would likely be a lovely place to grab afternoon tea but there's not a great selection left if you're grabbing something on the way home after work. The cakes/pastries we had were nice but not memorable. The store itself is very sweet with a lovely seating area if you're eating in.
Small niche bakery and cafe. Not a huge selection of cakes and sandwiches, but everything is excellently made if a little pricey. They do make excellent sausage rolls in some really interesting flavours.
