When you work with Felicity you know you're working with a professional. She appreciates and takes the time to talk through framing options and is able to suggest some truly inventive and imaginative solutions. It's not a "one size fits all" approach! That said, she's sensitive to what you want to achieve with the job and won't force her opinions on you if you want to go in a different direction. Ultimately, she achieves a remarkable finish, personal and professional - enhancing the uniqueness of the works that she is framing.
I had a tricky commission: a 17th century Japanese diptych print with some damage and a gap between the leaves, to fit to an existing frame. Felicity took up the challenge with enthusiasm, talked me through the options and listened to my views. We chose conservation standard mounting, anti-reflective glass, and Felicity cleverly cut a two-tone surface mount to link the leaves and mask the gap and damaged areas.I cannot be happier with the result! It is beautifully executed and shows what can be achieved with great expertise linked with sensitivity to the picture and to the owner's preferences.
Felicity is doing a marvelous job. She is doing a great job of framing, and is remarkably energetic and engaging - listening to what was needed and offering excellent suggestions; especially considering she was dealing with a stressed artist. Wonderful.
Felicity did a great job on my (unusual !) request to mount an artwork so that both sides could be viewed.... It took some imagination and everyone who sees the result says "wow".
Just had a piece from the Royal Academy summer exhibition framed by Felicity at the time she took over this business. Felicity provided a friendly, efficient and knowledgable service, great aesthetic advice selecting the right combination of mount, frame and glass, excellent quality finish and completed on time. Very pleased.
