we bought a wedding gift for my mum from artique, and Jackie and her team were very helpful - would highly recommend. in fact, my mum has since bought two pieces from Jackie instead of using her local gallery she was so impressed with their service.
My wife and myself purchased a beautiful sherree valentine daines piece of art from this gallary, and when buying art of any kind it should be a memorable experiance which this was not. upon paying the deposit for the art the sales woman stopped what she was doing to offer another customer "who she obviosuly knew" a glass of champagne while she looked. its small touches that matter and as the sales woman failed to realise we were the customers who were actually buying a piece and were not offered a glass, this lost her the sale as later that day I called to have our deposit refunded. I have since purchased the same piece of art through Whitewalls who have gone above and beyond. I would not recommend Artique of cambridge to anyone unless they are looking for anything other than poor service.
This was a first for us going to an art exhibition. Will definitely go again great experience.
Had a wonderful afternoon here at Artique Cambridge. The displays of the various artists were immense. So many to choose from. Was a pleasure to meet Jackie today. She was so very informative about the individual artists we were interested in. We were introduced to an artists work we had not seen before and were wowed by his techniques. We ended up purchasing a wonderful piece. Hope to see you again in the very near future. Thank you for your hospitality.
We were given a piece of artwork from here as a gift and the frame has a very aggressive type of woodworm (we have been told by experts that it was already in the wood before it was cut and is not a native type of woodworm found in the UK). Artique refuse to help pay for the re-framing and deny any fault. The frame has been in our house since it was purchased and we have wood flooring and furniture and we are just lucky the woodworm hasn't spread to anything else. We now have to pay 250 to re-frame the artwork with no contribution from Artique. I recommend you not to buy artwork from here, it may well bring woodworm into your home!
