Been here recently and spent an amazing time enjoying and appreciating contemporary architecture from start to end. There are lots of things to see. The family who owned this house have been collectors for so long. As you walk, you will see lots of items which are of course arranged nicely and thoughtfully. If you are in Cambridge, this is a must go place. This is free entry and they will take you on a guided tour. Enjoy :)
The house was amazing like a tardis, just went on and on... Such beautiful objects, carefully layout, generous people to show you round. The gallery was a bit of a bump down to normality, with incompressible energetic odd marks and things.... And the old rules of being in a sterile gallery space...
Superb revamp of this 'lived in house as art space'. Well worth the two year wait, particularly in terms of the extra gallery space. Free. Usually timed entry with a well informed (presumably volunteer) guide who provides an introduction and then let's you wander / wonder. Highly recommended.
If youve half a day to browse this eclectic collection of art, and carefully chosen trivia Kettles Yard is well worth a visit. Decent light meals available on site. Parking as in Cambridge generally is a walk away
I'd wanted to visit ever since I became aware that it had been reopened in 2018. I found the house intimate yet spacious. All the art, the ceramics, the furniture, the rugs, the plants were beautifully arranged and it was so relaxing to be able to sit down to take in the atmosphere. Recommended.
