No secure place to lock bikes. The floor mounted hoop racks are simply unbolted by thieves. The double layer type are easily cut through.

Going down hill quick. Coffee shop opens exactly when the first train leaves and that's always been frustrating. That massive carpark has just shot up from 5 per day to 8... Why? So we can walk through a building site to get to the station or is it because they need to pay for the resident members of the travelling communities security services?Don't lock your bikes to the floor mounted frames either. Someone* under the watchful eye of about 300 cameras is unbolting these things and relieving people of their bikes. The toilets have a strange smell, the building leaks in the rain, the waiting room is so hot you could grow bananas in it... Until someone walks past the door sensor at which point you are hit with an icy blast and both lifts have started to break down... And they haven't even developed the area yet! Good luck!

It's adequate for my Ely commute, but paving and stairs are extremely slippery when it rains. Not many facilities - Tribecca coffee is superb, available out the front until midday in the week. No bins after you leave the gates so can't dispose of my ticket.Edited December 2018): the stairs are no longer slippery and there are more bins, but Tribecca coffee replaced by soulless Costa.

Very handy station for me personally and the staff are helpful. The area around it is a bit desolate so it feels a touch lifeless but I'm sure that will change once they get around to building some coffee shops and hotels. Until then, it remains rather empty. You can also catch the no 2 bus from here - a novelty for the drivers.

Amazing staff, always helpful and kind even in a big queue! Brilliant service! Poor guys needs some more ticket machines tho :) kisses from Sin from Costa
