I used MJ Potts for boiler servicing at our old house and have just had them replace our back boiler based system with a combi. Malcolm was very thorough when specifying for the job and his whole team were excellent. The work required sub contractors who were all fantastic. They job ran to time and the house was left tidy. I will definitely be using them for my upcoming bathroom refit.

Terrible advice and poor customer service. We chose Malcolm Potts for our broken boiler because of reasonable hourly rates, but we would advise people to avoid them at all costs.The engineer who arrived immediately asked for the boiler manual and merely followed the trouble shooting steps. He checked the gas supply outside, and then advised that the Boiler electronics were broken, and would likely cost hundreds of pounds to replace. His recommendation was to go straight to the manufacturer and take their call out and parts service at a cost of 300. Malcolm Potts himself called me to make this recommendation the following morning. However, when the manufacturer arrived, they found that there was simply no gas supply, which a simple test would have shown. No replacement parts were necessary and this problem should have been found immediately by the Malcolm Potts engineer. We complained to Malcolm Potts and have asked for compensation to cover the considerable unnecessary expense. As soon as Malcolm knew what had happened, whenever I called Malcolm he was unavailable to speak over the phone, and he never called me back. It took the company 2 weeks (!) to send a letter confirming that they would not charge for their visit. We have asked for compensation above this and they have so far (7 working days) not responded. I strongly recommend you avoid these cowboys.
