Wow.... really, just wow. It's just so amazing! If you like art, culture or just interesting stuff like mummies and ancient coins then definitely visit this free museum... for free!

Always nice to return here, the building itself is impressive enough alone. I always seem to find something new that I'd not spotted before. Half museum half gallery really. Something for all tastes and of course a mummy to impress the kids with

Simply an amazing Museum with heaps of information in various different streams. Really liked how the Museum is layed throughout. This museum contains lots of information across the whole globe, including various different eras. Its free to entry. Their shop is lovely too. If you are in Cambridge, this is a must go place. Pro Tip : Pay a look at the armory section. Its quite cool, especially those gigantic swords . Thank you

Absolutely amazing. The exhibits were so well presented and laid out so even a museum newbie like me could find and see everything I wanted. The Egyptian exhibition was especially brilliant. Oh and the building itself is so beautiful. I would 100% recommend any one to go. It is free to get in but they do have a donations box. Great place for a cheap but cultural date

Free to enter. Big lockers for your stuff - I could probably have got my fold up bike into one - again free. Small cafe and shop both of which were efficient and friendly. As for the museum itself, that depends on what you want. It is a traditional museum with large display cases of pottery, glass, armour, Egyptian tomb contents etc. There is surprisingly little textual information to accompany the displays. I didn't notice any audio guide. I enjoyed the visit more than I expected. The lack of detailed descriptions and audio guide probably means you move around more quickly and spend more time admiring the exhibits that do catch your eye.The picture is of some pottery from 3000BC. Yes 5000 years old and it looked as fresh and pleasing as if an artisan had made it last week.
