Planes everywhere! Great experience for the whole family. There's a small airport next to the hangars with planes landing and taking off all day and my son loved it! Interesting displays and we had a lovely day.
One of the finest aviation museums in the world a magnificent collection beautifully presented .the site is huge and one day is not enough to do it justice The American gallery is amazing, a B29, B52, SR71 and lots more. Walk through Concorde, and so much more. There is even a tank and land warfare museum which is a great museum in its own right. Eating options and gift shops and you can go for a flight in a classic aircraft. Not free but the entry price is a bargain.
Best museum ever, we've lost count of the times we've been but always something new to see! Fantastic work, keep it up. Seems pricey but the proceeds obviously go back into keeping this collection looking great for future generations. My 7year old loves it!
Fantastic place to visit. Lots of car park spaces and plenty of disabled bays. Staff were lovely and sorted me out a scooter which was complimentary.I loved the shop. They had such great varied items to look at.The viewing area was great although it is behind a glass panel which makes it awkward for taking photos but not impossible. The museum itself is fantastic. You can easily spend a full day there and not see everything. You are allowed to use a tripod so take one if you have as your shots will benefit. Just remember to be careful of other viewers. If your lucky when your there you may even see one of the legendary aircraft being put through its paces so be on the look out with your ears lol .If your a fan of your WW2 aircraft like I am then be sure to check out the date of the flying Legends airshow, its spectacular. The land warfare museum is wonderful also with some very interesting exhibits.I will hopefully be going back soon.Michael
All though we visited on a cold day. The staff were brilliant and welcoming. Cafe clean and warm. Brilliant play area for the kids. Set out of the museum is fab. Attention to detail is very good. We spent 4 hours there and not even done half. We shall be making a few more visits for sure. Family day out very much enjoyed.
