Excellent tour, I had friends come up from London to visit me and this was my ace up my sleeve , they really enjoyed the sites along the canal . Tim the guide was very professional and explained in depth what sites/views we would see and the staff knowledge of the history of the buildings along the canal were on point would highly recommend to anyone visiting cambridge to book via Cambridge Alumin Tours
The guide was absolutely fantastic, however the staff who led us down the boat was the worst i ever came across. She and her colleagues wanted my family of six to all squeeze into the back of the boat while giving the less cramped front of boat to 4 ladies, who actually bought the tickets 3 cheaper than we did per person. We were so packed that we had to basically embrace our legs. It wasnt working and we asked if we could wait for the next boat instead, so we could get on the front part, then she gave us a very annoyed look and almost made us go to the back of queue. I nearly wanted to get her manager to speak to me. Very unpleasant experience. Also the ticket seller promised that the six of us would be able to sit facing each other but it wasnt the case when we got there. And the staff just went this might be what they promised you but this is not how we work here. Ughh.
Good views of the universities, bridges... But the best is to hear the history about all of those buildings from the guide. Josh was amazing.
