I think it is a wonderful station. It's been needed for the science park commuters for a long time.
My first experience of this new station was a disaster. 3 tickets machines, 1 out of order large queue but couldn't collect pre-booked tickets from the machines. At least there was a notice to say this. I queued for just under 15 minutes at the single desk to collect my ticket only to be told I couldn't and I can get it in London. No notice to say this and no apology.Then another wait at the barrier as I didn't have a ticket and know one was around. Only a couple of mins this time.To end my experience no drink/snack shop at the station.Hopefully this will all get sorted but it's terrible for a new station.
Despite being less than a month old. The electronic timetables get turned off in the afternoon and never can connect to the weather report servers so half the time your bus info is blocked with WEATHER SERVICE UNAVAILABLE logos. It also faces the sun in the evening so prepare for a hot one if you are waiting.
