On checkout we had a very embarrassing situation, the receptionist told my wife we had walked out of the bar without paying, my wife paid again so as not to cause a scene.....but in actual fact we had paid twice, we have the receipt to prove it. We found the receipt in our bag on returning home.It has left a bitter sweet taste of this hotel!!!

The Spa at this hotel is quite good. There is a decently sized pool, a jacuzzi, a wet sauna and a dry sauna. You could also book several therapy sessions, but there are few places, so booking in advance is necessary. Changing rooms are also decent, providing you with your own locker and key. Overall a nice experience.

nice place with a great setting but on the same note customers looked in easy as staff were constantly watching the place like security even heard one member of staff tell a customer to pick his wrapper up from a table people are away for a breather if it's just a wrapper pick it up for them. but did notice staff weren't too quick to bite when other members were quite quick to accept the drink from a customer pour it and drink it with customer thought this wasn't exactly professional at all.

This is a restaurant only review. Had a Sunday lunch in the The Mill House Restaurant. Two of us ordered the only vegetarian option, Tagliatelle with mushrooms and roasted Parmesan cheese. The plate was very bland, just like eating plain pasta. The cheese didn't arrive at first and even with the cheese it was very bad actually with just some traces of mushrooms, it was dry and had no taste. One of us had the Salmon dish and was very pleased with it. The service was very formal and minimal, no questions about our experience.

We headed here for a few nights after our wedding as a Mini Moon. It was a lovely hotel to stay in and the staff and service was brilliant. We ate in the bar on several occasions and couldn't fault the food, it was delicious. We really enjoyed using the pool and spa facilities, we also both had a lovely hot stone massage in the spa. We hired the bikes on one of the days and biked into Cambridge for the day, I would definitely recommend this as it was a great day out. We will definitely be back again!
