We went into the store to buy dining chairs and we really liked one - and might have even bought them if only the sales guy had talked to us instead of rushing off after just telling us the price. After stopping him twice to ask a few questions- we gave up and walked out. He was not rude but apparently didn't have even a minute to spare - surprising as it was not very busy. Not the customer service we were expecting especially when you are planning to spend more than a 1000 pounds.
UPDATE: We received the refund. I know a lot of people have seen this review so I wanted to close the loop. Considering how hard we had to work to get our money back I still won't be shopping here again. With so many options for places to shop (especially online), why would anyone go to a store that doesn't prioritize customer service? If only I could give zero stars...The in-store experience was great. Everyone is helpful and friendly. But unfortunately I will never shop here again because of how theyve handled our return. We bought furniture in May... its November and we still dont have our refund. Worst of all, the warehouse is claiming they cant find the items even though we have paperwork clearly stating they took the furniture back to their warehouse. At this point, I consider what theyve done as stealing because we dont have our furniture and they wont give us our money. The management has tried really hard to resolve this issue but unfortunately they still havent made things right with us. I hope the management team reads these reviews and reaches out to me. Working with furniture village has been an extremely long and painful experience and I really look forward to fixing this issue and then never shopping there again.
Always a joy to shop in Furniture Village. Best staff, always helpful and make you welcome. Cookies and coffee is good too!The furniture lasts and has proven to be much better quality than their rivals. I've personally had furniture over 10 Years that still looks good and hasn't failed me, unlike some of the furniture friends have bought from rivals and sold 12 months later because its not worn well.
No pressure. Salesman was in eyeline but only approached when I asked a couple of questions then left me in peace to make up my mind. It worked! Two sofas bought without any pain. Well done Chris a good sales technique!
A first class service. the assistant was extremely helpful and we were able to get exactly what we wanted. No pressure and he was happy to take whatever time we needed to make the right decision.Looking forward to the new furniture, would definitely recommend this store.
